Red is gay, played out. If your motor isnt a R then dont try to make it a R.

I painted my valve cover Grey because its gangster. I would much prefer dark metallic colors...like gunmetal, bronze, gold.

You can find the paint @ Kragens or Autozone...make sure you get the high heat paint. 500 degrees or over whatevers cool.

I agree about the red, unless of course your car is red. I painted mine wrinkle red cuz I wanted it to match the body.

alright,
mantic6t9's hatch,
i believe he used krylons engine enamel. Color is medium gloss black, not quite flat, not quite glossy, very nice.

i brought mine to school and sanded by hand, took about 3 hours, but it cleaned up really nice. i heard aircraft paint stripper works really well, but is kinda dangerous to use. you can find it at advanced auto, other stores like that

never heard of that happening

maybe if you removed the heatshield from your stock header, as its fatter and problycloser..

The only thing more played out than red, is gunmetal. Everyone painted their cover that color.
And you don't need the highest temp paint, you can use regular car paint in a spray can.

Painting them is sort of a fashion statement if you think about it. If it was chipped and ugly, it would still do it's job, painting it just makes it look better. But I agree, paint it whatever color you want, everything is played out.

I think this car would look hot w/ the cover color matched to the body...
