You need larger injectors. The D series can handle a good 6 PSI or so on stock internal parts with good reliability, just need bigger injectors and a tune in addition to the mandatory turbo parts.

If you want more power... looking into Vitara Pistons and some Eagle rods.

Ive seen d-series handle 210whp on stock internals. Some as high as 9psi. To the OP probably searching around turbod16.com is a good place to start.

Indeed... many guys go higher. My recommendation was on the safe side. Some of the stuff on turbod16 is pretty darn impressive on stock internals.

my friend has his d16z6 in his eg and it's turbo'd at 4psi, which really is a safe # for a car that's not dyno'd but chipped.

WTF everyone is talking about psi like that has anything to do with anything
so you saying that 6 psi is safe regardless what turbo it is?
WRONG
a stock motor is safe up to 220 whp +-
that is on a good tune
if your on a **** tune than 180 whp might be the limits
it's all in the tune

this will get you started

There is no being safe then stock, anything else u do is unsafe for the motor. Yes you can boost and make 220 +- but there no reliably in it. Motors are made to handle wast its made for which is being stock. There are many factor beside a good tune. </TD></TR></TABLE>

as long as you take care of it than there is no reason why a 220+- whp SOHC-T cant last you years. just don't beat the **** out of it every time your in the car. and the same goes for stock. if you don't take care if it than it's not going to last.

well first off it's not "fast" it will be quick but definitely not in the fast category.
and anyone that's wanting to cake care of there car won't beat the **** out of it every time they get in the car.
there is just no real reason to race to every red light.

fast would be a 11sec 1/4
turbo a SOHC civic because it's a fun daily driver
you talking like it's not going to hold up
i saying that it can hold up if you take care of it
when i said racing to every red light i didn't mean literally racing
i mean just don't beat the **** out of it all day every day and your good
ya beat that **** from time to time because it will be quick and fun
however in moderation
the same thing with stock
don't cake care of it and drive like a bat out of hell all day every day and a stock motor won't last but a year or so
daily drive like a normal person and you probably won't even hit full boost

if you are trying to race a SOHC-T that is still stock?????
i would say 12.5 1/4 mile would be the quickest +-
but if you were to be racing it than why stay stock and why stay SOHC?
a stock SOHC that is used to race on a regular bases won't last very long.
turbo a SOHC civic because it makes a fun daily driver
there are people on here making over 400whp on SOHC built
