D16 trouble
I bought my 95 civic ex from a friend and I had to put it back together, I have started it up and I hear like a knocking nosie but it doesn't sound like knocking it sounds more like something is coming lose kind of but I notice their wasn't a guard on the transimission because he put a better clutch in it and I don't know why he didn't put the guard back on, could a rock or something get in their and is that what's making the nosie. I don't know what's wrong.
It sounds like it coming from the whole dam thing, but I would have to say the block, would it be the pistons cus when I had the head to change the gasket the pistons you could wiggle around and I put oil in the cylinders and about 2-4 later the oil went down so should I looking into new piston, I plan on getting new pistons any way, but if it is the pistons would it be ok to drive still?

Re: D16 trouble
the likely ness of a rock getting in thier is slim to none. i do not run my guard either it helps get that clutch dust out of there anyway. where is the knocking noise coming from? the head the bottom end? transmission? you need more info.. we cant help much from what u described
