just swapped in new clutch and a new transmission.when i put the clutch in to turn it over, theres no go in the starter. theres two wire clips coming out of the transmission. anyone know which one is for what?

the new transmission only had one of the two clips, so i had to replace the one that when you take it out its connected to a tiny yellow gear..when the transmissions in your car its the closest one to the firewall.

so my question is, did i not put the one wire clip back in to the new transmission together or is the one that came on the new transmission bad? i dont know if the one i replaced is the just the reverse sensor or what. or did we just not do the starter right??

speed sensor and reverse light sensor. as for the starter make sure its hooked up correctly. one wire from the battery, one to the fuse box, and the signal wire.

^^ This guy is spot on. There should be a transmission ground in there somewhere too.

i picked up a new starter so that wasnt the case, my next thing im going to do is check the three wires for a short. the only other thing that could be a factor is maybe the clutch sensor correct?

do you know where it would be located and what it would look like? is it one of the two wire clips? or a seperate wire altogether?
