Default d16 tranny issues - hard shifting and car won't move

hey everyone, sorry i tried to search this but i suck at it or something and I couldnt find anything off top, so I figured id ask someone with some knowledge, i have a d16y8 94 eg civic with a garret turbo kit etc, a few days ago it became really hard to move my shifter around the gearbox when switching gears btu I could still switch gears, but today my car just died, and i got it started back up, but when i go into gears it wont accelerate...is it over do I need a tranny? or do you think it could be something just within the tranny, let me know please, i really want to get my baby back out on the road. -_- thanks everyone.

In gear, does the speedometer register a speed increase with higher engine rpm, but the car does not move?

I don't think it did, its been a few hours since i was in it i can check again next time i start it in a lil bit, but it made some noise like it was trying to do but nothing happened, it was like it wasnt engaging in the gear because when the car died I couldnt compression start it or anything

Is the clutch fluid low? Any leaks? Was the clutch pedal spongy or low to the floor?

Check the speedo as I mentioned and, if it registers speed, check whether one or both axles popped out of the differential.

okay i will do that, also no there isn't any leaks that ive seen, but i should probably check all the fluids just to make sure its not low, but low fluids wouldnt cause that would it?

Okay, so I jus went and fired it up, the speedo doesn't move if I let off the clutch in gear and give it gas,but the car does die if I take the clutch off while its in gear, but when I turned my car on and it was just idling, there was a odd kinda rattlinh noise that went away when I pushed the clutch in, this ruined my weekend plans for sure.

You transmission input shaft bearing, or one of the other transmission main bearings, is shot.

If the clutch reservoir is very low or has no fluid, then yes that would affect the clutch hydraulic system and your ability to change gears.

okay, is that a difficult/expensive fix? How would I know which bearing is shot?

The job is a bit difficult because it involves removing and cracking open the transmission. If you are unable to do the work, then shop for a replacement transmission.
