Default D16 Stock Internals + Boost?

I have a '97 CX hatchback. Looking to boost it. I was just basically wondering what I can peak at safely for Hp on my stock internals. The vehicle has about 125k on it. Any help would be appreciated

Every car differs when it comes to forced induction. I have done many D16 turbo set ups and I would never push Over 10 lbs of boost on stock internals. You should get about 50% more power out of it. considering that your stock d16 puts about 90 hp you should be around 135-150 hp. Although I have seen a few cars tuned VERY VERY well push 200+ on 10lbs with stock internals!

I'm only looking to do about 175 whp for now. So this could be a possible goal for my stock sohc?! Good deal lol. Anything over 170-175 is just a bonus. Thanks for the input

How healthy is your engine? Do a compression test before you even attempt to install a turbo system. How far have you gone in your research? Do you have an idea of what turbo you're going to use to get you to your goal?

I haven't done a compression test yet, I planned on it anyways before I put any kind of boost to it. I have done a decent amount of research. I was planning on a turbo off of a Saab 9000, or a mitsu GS-T turbo setup. I want to keep it kinda low key, cause I live in Chicago and have already had one car stolen, so would like to avoid a HUGE intercooler, prefferably something side mount, if nothing else I can always powdercoat the i/c flat black to keep it kinda low key. As far as which one of those turbos to use I'm kinda in the air about it. Any input on that would also be helpful

I have no opinions on either. I wouldn't put junkyard parts on my car.
