D16 Overheating Problem...help is appreciated
I crashed the car, broke the radiator. Bought a new one and put it in but my core support and frame have some damage so the radiator sits a little bent in towards the motor. Car still overheats and is revving up and down when its at idle. Should I check the thermostat next? Car idles at about 1000 to 1200 and revs up to about 2000 by itself.
Car only has I/H/E, everything stock except timing is advanced....any suggestions will help, Thanks.

Make sure all hoses are completely hooked up with no air in the lines...After this check radiator fluid..If there was air in the lines you should be low on refrigerant. IF low on refrigerant fill to appropriate level.
Your tstat should be fine.
IF your car is reving at a rapid pace...check for vaccum leaks.
