If you've got the money, You could pull more than 400.

If you don't, swap it with another motor and spend that much less on turbo parts and make the same ammount of power.

They can be pretty quick and for cheap. You can built a fast turbo D for less than alot of swaps (like k series). I am currently building my D series and hope to have a good 200+ turbo d daily when I am done.

evans tuning boosted that hatch on pinks with a fullrace kit. you should look into their info, very very good people. d-series motors are amazing!

i remember reading something on their forums saying the made 6**whp on stock d16 sleeves. damn

I did the dseries setup for abit. I think I ended up w/ 300 or so on 12 psi on semibuilt setup. I also hit 140 whp NA w/ semi built..

any naturally aspirated D series is worthless IMO. You could spend thousands and it gets you up to having something like a b16 basically? waste.

Boost is the way to go. It can be cheap, and reliable. On stock internals most D motors will handle 200-220. And when built many up to 400 hp.

d's can make 600whp with A **** LOAD of lag.

stock rods n pistons are good for under 230whp

blocks are good for 500 *think*

Yup they can really be powerful if you built it right. Get on d-series.org and look around for info. There is plenty on here as well.
