Default d16 intake manifold swap

i tried searching about this. i have a 96 cx with the poop intake 'thingy' and was wondering if theres anways of putting an actual intake manifold on without actually having to swap to the v-tec head?

Sure thing. The z6 and y8 manifolds will bolt on.

Best to get the y8 automatic manifold with the throttle cable and an automatic throttle body as well.

With the auto manifold and throttle body you don't run into wiring issues with the IACV. or extra vacuum holes to cover up.

Depends on the manifold. If it's a manual it uses a different IACV and you'll have to rewire your current IACV to be compatible. You'll also have to block off some vacant vacuum holes on the back.

Yep that will work! But he does not have it listed if it came from an auto or manual. I would ask and make sure it's from an auto. Don't get us wrong one from a manual will work, you will just have to plug up some extra holes. Always easier to get one from an auto though, just ask and make sure.

so this would be something im better off grabbing from pick n pull so i can confirm automatic with my own eyes? but i take it im looking for the whole intake mani forward from an automatic?

You could do that, but like I said the email the seller and ask him if it's from an auto or a manual. If it's from an auto buy it, and if you get it and it turns out to be from a manual. Dispute the case, send the item back and get your money back. Simple as that

personally I would just go to the pick'n'pull and just grab an the intake manifold, tb, throttle sable, sensors etc from an automatic civic.

You'd rather run into less problems. The swap can be a pain in the ***.
