Hi guys im rebilding my D16 for turbo setup and in looking to buy the comtique head gasket but my question is does the thickness change somthing ?

ya the thicker it is less compression and thinner more compression. so if i were you i would go stock or thicker

everyone will tell u the best headgasket to use with a boosted setup is OEM gasket and use arp head studs. i would not pay extra for some cosmetic headgasket stick with an OEM one.

Can the oem handle 400hp ?

get a 3 layer d16y8 gasket so you have a multi layer steel gasket. use copper spray and you will be all set for 400 HP, make sure if you use arp studs, you use a dial to mesure the stretch of the studs, you dont measure torque.

Ok and me its a d16y7 and not a d16y8 so is there a diferance in the head gasket ?
And the 3 layer thAt your talking about whats the brand ?

The 3 layer is OEM. You get it at the Honda dealership. and cometic head gaskets have a lot of horror stories about them. Buy the OEM

Ok i have a sohc d16zc non vtec and i took out my plug wires today had a little oil on my ends so im going to replace my head gasket what all motor gasket can i use because i cant find one for the zc motor i have ive heard that d16a1 are imterchangable is that true or a gasket from 88-90 crx

...Did you really just bump a 3 year old thread to ask an unrelated question? Don't do that. Ever. For any reason. Also, oil on your spark plug wires is not indicative of head gasket failure, it's indicative of spark plug grommet seal failure. Replace those, not your head gasket.
