d16 head on a d15 block???can it be done

Icon3 d16 head on a d15 block???can it be done

I have a D15B7 Motor in my 93 civic and i just got a d16Z6 Head..I am getting the head rebuilt and putting shunk 2 values and shunk 2 cam.also i am wonting to boost this motor too and i am rebulding the bottom d15 block also with shunk 2 pistons. i am needing 2 know what else do i need and if this can be done.i have had some friends tell me it could be done but know one around here has seen it done.i thinking i will need a d16z6 pcm or ecm P28??well hope yall can help me out would like to talk to someone that has it done..before i start ordering all the parts..thanks 4 the help..

i also have a d16y7 head also but like to stay with the z6 head....just so everyone knows i am wanting to put the D16z6 head on the D15B7 block..and needed to know what all else will i need to complete the job??

^^^^^^^^ AWESOME THREAD !!!! i am in the process of doing mine heres what i ordered and price

to save u a lil reading
yes use the Z6 head and intake manifold if available
also use the Distributor
im going to use a P28 Ecu for mine

Price and parts to buy
Z6 Timing belt $45
y8 Head Gasket $28
Z6 plug wires $20
Z6 Distrubutor $ ???

(recommend)
new Z6 distributor cap and rotor
plugs
Z6 wires

Keep in mind if your thinking of boosting (pending on the pistons u r using) stock compression on this build would be 10.5-10.9 CR

Also if u do decide to do it do what i did Print the above link and Read entire thing a few times to make sure u miss nothing

My opinion and estimate on prices (my price was cheaper i got hook ups LOL)

I will let u know after Sunday haha thats when the Eg is going into the shop and gettin all switched up i have done alot of research on this build and have been qouted 20-25 WHP over the stock D15B7 hahah THAT WOULD BE SICK !!!! IM HOPING SOO
