Default info on d16 block??...Also questions on pistons??

i searched but most of them didnt have the question i was looking for soooooooooooooooooooo......my questions is this i need a d16 block b/c i threw a rod and busted a hole in my z6 so i was wondering is their a block good for turbo for my z6 head. i have on the way scat rods(ordered) and vitara or srp pistons(the pistons will be decided by the end of today depending which way i wanna do my turbo setup) The reason i say vitara b/c idk i searched hard last night and read..read..read and they give nice number, but at the same time down the line im gonna want more hp then 300. Then i think srp and i want the most out of a d16 but i have a coupe and i dont wanna strip everything interior wise, what can i say im more of show n go...Also with the vitara i've read that a couple of guys ran 11's with stock interior shii i'll be even happier with 12s...
P.s I'm not cheap at all about my d16 setup.....

it was a z6 i drove it a couple of weeks after i we had a bad thunderstorm and i went over a puddle and my car would strat for like 2 min, after that it started up and drove it a couple weeks no problem really, but you could here the bearings in the block. It sound horrible , but one day i had to pay my ticket downtown, as i was coming back home driving normally it gave out and shot oil everywhere. which is y i wanting to know what the best block to add on to a z6 head....

I remember reading somewhere that the d16a6 was the strongest D block. I looked around for one for a while and ended buying a d16y8 block instead. There is a sticky somewhere over on d-series.org about running y8 blocks w/ a z6 head and the timing issues. I'm building a similar setup to you TT rods, vitaras, z6 head.
I'd have more info if I could find the time to finish building the damn thing. What turbo are you planning to use?

i have heard that the zc has a little bit thicker rods than other d16's so im make an assumption that the zc also is thicker block wise. but deffinately do not quote me on this. im just makein a guesstimation. other than that check out http://www.turbod16.com
