Default d15z1 w/ d16z6 head

i have a d15z1 w/ a d16z6 head in my 92 cx and the problem is that i have A DX p06 ECU! >:[ AND ITS SLOOOOOOOOW AS HELL DUDE, LITERALLY. I was wondering if vtec really does make a big difference. If it does, i am willing to buy a p28 ecu for it. Would i notice any power? Any replies and info will be appreciated. Thank you for your time. ^_^

yes it would make a big difference.
get the p28 and make sure your vtec is wired up.
you'll like it guaranteed.

I would consider d16z6 or y8 transmission as well (if you don't have it already), the gearing on the VX is not good at all for acceleration.

Get the P28 ECU a.s.a.p.!!!

You'd also pick up about a full second on the 1/4 with a 1.6 tranny. My 93 CX w/ a D16Z6 and 1.5 tranny pulls a 16.9. With the 1.6 tranny I was getting 15.8 on the track.

No the reason your car is slow as hell is because you did a mini-me on a VX. BAD IDEA.
