i'm kinda new to the honda game and i was wondering if theres any head i could swap onto the d15z1 block that wont give me a real low compression without doing pistons and stuff. and also will a si tranny bolt up to my motor and axles?

the head - nope, the dome is so small in the Z1's head that anything else will make compression numbers in the 7 range.
trans - very easy to do, everything will work fine... but it will throw the stock ECU off. The ECU knows what gear it's in using set values inside the program of the ECU based on RPM/VSS. Tossing in another trans will screw that up, again your mpg will be gone. Best to go with a tuned ECU at that point. But in doing so you will likely loose the great mileage that the VX gets since the P07 (stock ECU) has some special operating modes to get the mpg that it does.
Honestly, stick to what it is stock, it's a fuel sipper and not intended for power. Enjoy the mpg you'll get with it and save up for a SI or a shell you can make a monster performer.
(this from a guy who has a VX that's been molested to all hell, and is looking for another one to keep stock)
