D15B8 questions?

Default D15B8 questions?

I just bought a 94 HB CX and searching on the web it says it comes with the D15B8 engine ... is this correct? If it is not How do I find out what model it is?

Also I am looking to make it a mini me what VTEC Head will work?

Yes, you have a D15B8 70 hp motor. It's a POS motor with good gas mileage.

I would just swap a D16Z6 if you plan on stickin to cheap SOHC motors.

If you want a D series motor get a D15b this is the jdm version of the us d15 This motor comes with 130hp and 111tq. It has Vtec and the head flows better than the D16z6.

Heads are the same, the jdm d15b comes with a better cam

if u wanna stick with the CX motor you'll need a Z6 head and tranny to get any kind of potential out of it.
