d15b8 Oil Pan Questions

Is it a direct bolt on to replace a d15 engines oil pan with a b16 pan? How about a d15 head on a b16 block? Just some hypothetical questions.

No. Neither will bolt on.

So b-series are universal to b-series and d to d? Thanks...

Hmmm. For the most part, yes. The VTEC oil pans are SLIGHTLY different (in appearance only as far as I can tell), but the VTEC pans will bolt onto the non-VTEC engines. I haven't tried a 92-95 D pan on any 96-2000 D pan swaps, though. They look different, but if I had to bet, I'd say they fit.

92-95 1.5L and 1.6L pans are the same.
