Default d15b7 vs d15b8

so i found this guy selling a d15b8 for $100, he says it all in good condition. right now i have a d15b7 with almost 190k miles on it. this b8 has 90k on it. what is the difference between a b7 and a b8, i no neither has vtec. so if i was going to add vtec later, which would be better? I'm thinking the b7 as from what i've heard it has more top end power, but what do you guys suggest?

The b8 is a tiny 8 valve engine and the b7 is a 16 valve engine. The b7 has a little more potential.... but just a little.

If there is nothing wrong with your current engine, I'd recommend saving your money.

they both have the same block
10% of the time, the b8 has different pistons in the block though.
