D15b7 starting / running issues (lots of details) ---- *Fixed* details for refrence
95 DX motor into 92 DX Chasis
Only Difference is engine harness has map wiring, while chasis has the plug which just plugged into top of TB from fuel filter.
Will just crank and crank.
Can pull any plug ground the side out (valve cover ground) and it will start up just fine.
Valve cover grounds (2) and tranny ground hooked up.
New Coil / Cap / Rotor
Been building honda's for years just at a complete loss for this one.

Re: D15b7 starting / running issues (lots of details)
So Ive got it run to 2 ways which try to explain
Pull 4# plug out, plug it into plug wire, ground the side to valve cover and it will run on 3 cylinders crappy.
I also took a extra spark plug, ground it to the valve cover hooked 4# plug wire to it, it started to run on 3 cylinders quickly disconnected and plugged back into 4# and ran perfect no hesitation nor cel, but after turning off wont restart.

Re: D15b7 starting / running issues (lots of details)
So an Update for anyone who cares or has some problem
Timing dead on mechanical and belt
Gettin some spark
Fuel Pump Good
Fuel Pressure good
Main Realy good
ECU Good....
New Plugs, Wires, Cap.... Everything and wouldnt start....
3 days later, 12 hours or so and testing everything I could I finally got it figured out, no one Ive ever talked to has ever seen or heard of this problem so figured would up date the post.
For whatever reason when the car was cranking the coil wasnt gettin a solid 12v power to the coil hence making spark but weak.
The way I fixed this is running my own power wire to the coil (diode isolated) and relayed / hooked to a switch (figure safety theft measure), and now perfect starter / runner.
You could either wire it the way I did it or relay it off the starter signal wire or off ignition wire leads.
Hope this helps with anyone in the future.

but what is making me wonder is how you said you could pull one plug out and ground it and it would start
anythings possible i guess. glad to see it's up and running though

Re: D15b7 starting / running issues (lots of details)
I thought I would add a little more detail, My switch setup doesnt power the coil 24/7 just for starting, once run you can flip it off and coil gets the 12v it needs so who knows.
