Default d15b7 starting issues

I got my car started but am still looking for the cause..any input is appreciated

Earlier this week I went out to my car to start it and it started right up, but felt like 2 of the cylinders were missing. This has happened once before, probably 30k miles ago. I turned off the car and then it would not start. I checked basically everything I could think to check. The distributor was fine, I was getting spark, I was getting gas, Air wasn't an issue, but the inside of the intake manifold was a bit wet?. I also found out that I think my car is starting to burn oil as it was a little over a quart low. I sprayed a lot of starting fluid into my intake manifold to see if it was a fuel related problem. Still didn't start, but did dry out my manifold. After killing my battery by trying to start it, and then jumping my car for an hour while trying to start the engine, it finally started. And so far has not had any problems since. It drives just as it did before. I just have no idea why the car would not start for 3 days when everything seemed right. Is there anyone out there that might have an idea of what happened so I can look into it and maybe fix it?

Intake might have been wet due to condensation, or did it smell like gas? Check all your fuses first, before you tear anything apart.

after you flood the motor with fuel it will be harder to start. depending on the mileage maybe your rear main seal could be leaking. you can always check the health of the motor with a compression tester

sounds like a flooding problem. leaky injectors are usally the case.yep and run a compression test.

Can I rent a compression gauge from autozone? As I don't have one, which is why I haven't done that already. The engine has 195000 miles on it and its all original as far as I know. It did smell like really crappy gas. Maybe gas with a little oil mixed into it as far as the liquid in the intake manifold is concerned.

I'll try to get a hold of a compression tester and let you know whats up with that.

Also, Does anyone really think that the fuel injector cleaner that you put into you gas tank really works?

I did a compression test and the results are:

Cylinder 1: 150
Cylinder 2: 150
Cylinder 3: 155
Cylinder 4: 160

These are very low in my opinion, but I'm no expert.

I also felt inside my tailpipe, it was wet, but not oily so I don't know if the piston rings are leaking. I've also never seen blue smoke coming out of my car while driving. I've also driven 250 miles since i noticed that I was low on oil with no noticable oil loss. I'm kind of at a loss as to where the oil is going...any ideas?
