d15b7 standing oil in plug tube?
Hey everyone I have a fresh rebuilt d15b7 in my 95 civic, I changed oil today and decided to take a look at my plugs to make sure I wasn't having any issues in the chambers. However, upon pulling the plug wire from cylinder number 1, I noticed standing oil that came up about flush with the top of the hex bolt where the socket fits onto the plug, only on cylinder number 1. I pulled off the valve cover and checked the gasket that covers the top of that plug tube and it appeared fine. what else could cause that standing oil? the tube itself being defective maybe? Please any insight is appreciated. Thanks everyone.

on the d15 u have to pull the rocker arm assembly off to expose the o-rings under it they r really easy to change. just b sure to not let the assembly come apart when lifting it off the head.

3 o-rings and a figure 8 ring. My honda tech friend also adds a little honda bond to those o-rings to be sure they don't leak for years.

Oh yeah and a figure 8 one too, forgot about that one... been a while. I have never had to put any thing on them but I suppose it wouldn't hurt, cheap insurance I guess!
