D15b7 Rocker Arm Assembly Removal - welded to head
I have undone every bolt and adjustment screw, along with the nut to each adjustment screw but my Rocker Arm Assembly won't come off. I checked around the seams of the assembly and it looks to be welded to the head. Oil is getting in the tube wells and the O-Rings need replaced but I can't get to them. Is there anyway to fix this beyond buying a new head? I have no welding skills of any form or fashion nor a welding device.

Re: Rocker Arm Assembly Removal
I've read the service manual, I'm just wondering how could I remove the assembly if its welded by the wells to the rest of the head? I've removed all bolts, nuts, and adjustment screws, but the assembly won't come off.

Yes by the book, what I'm saying is, the part of the assembly that meets the cylinder head and forms the spark plug wells is welded to the head, can't tell if it's quick weld or an actual weld done by machine. How can I remove the welds without damaging the head or further welding? I need to get under the assembly to replace the O-Rings that seal the spark plug wells.

Re: Rocker Arm Assembly Removal
So you are saying that somebody welded the rocker arm assembly to the head? I've never hear of that. Can you post pictures?
And if somebody did that, you may just want to buy a replacement head.
