All I know is it could be the timing or a leak. But I want to know if theirs any thing else that can cause this.

Define "low idle". You might want to furnish way more info than you have.

Agree with above. How low is "low"? I mean, the warmed up idle speed is already pretty low (mind hovers at about 500rpm when it's all warmed up) so I'd say you must be really close to stalling....

Well the thing is, it's automatic and when I put in drive after warmed up, it seems to idle lower than usual. Plus I dont have a mph on my cluster so I can't tell. But I know it's lower than usual.

WTF is "low idle"? WTF is "seems"? You haven't even bothered to give us a number! What RPMs are YOU calling low?

You mean you don't have a tachometer? (RPM)

The idle is supposed to drop when the car is warmed up. The only reason the idle is high is to warm up the engine. You'll notice that your car shifts at a higher RPM when it's cold. This also helps warm up the engine. When the engine is warm the RPMs drop automatically. But if it feels and sounds like it's about to die, then there may be something out of adjustment.

If you don't have a tach and you aren't throwing any codes then how do you know there is a problem? We cannot troubleshoot "seems".

Yes! I have no tach!!!
That's why I can't give you a number

And yes I know how it works to warm up and stuff.
But I know my car and all I wanted to know is what kind of "adjustments would it probably need?
I know its idling low.

When was the last tuneup you performed?
Next time list all car details in the first post as per the rules. It saves a lot of guesswork and frustration.

Without a tach, it's going to be really hard to diagnose since you don't have something measuring the engine speed. Do you have a shop manual? Try the troubleshoot section in it.

BTW, what kind of car is this? No tach and automagic tranny means a CX, I assume? Just a guess...

Well first off, you don't need a CEL code most of the time to tell you theirs a problem.
for example, like a blown head or a vacume leak. Or when the timing is off.

Maybe I picked the wrong word then.... I think what I meant to say was "hard to test" since you don't have a tach to check and make sure the engine speed is correct to spec.

Vacuum leak will usually get you a higher idle.

When did you do a tuneup last?

Don't worry. As long as you learn something from it, it's not a mistake.

By tune up I did
Spark plugs/wire
Oil/intake filters
Which was done about 18k miles ago and I always do my oil changes every 3k
Is their anything else I missed on my tune up?

Oh yes and I did the fuel filter also
But the cap and rotor no.
Maybe when I do that I'll go and check the timing as well.
Should I buy a tach from auto zone or any place to help me with the rpm?
And if I do would it hook up to the car even though it originally didn't have one ??

Cap and rotor might do it.... But I think timing issues would cause a misfire or something. If the tach is just for the fix, don't waste your money. If you do get one, it should hook up to the car. You might have to look at some diagrams and wire some stuff, but it should work.

you can get a cluster from an ex model 92-95 it will have a tach and it will be plug and play. you can even swap your speedo into it to keep your mileage.
