D15b7 internals
For the d15b7 are there any forged/aftermarket rod and piston options available? And if not would any other ones work like rod and pistons for a d16? I've searched and every thread says that "(insert name here) sold them but there discontinued now)

Custom for aftermarket. Another words, no but you can have them made as most rod companies have the ability to make custom rods.
You will likely spend more on rods and pistons than you will on a used B18C JDM type R motor.
The other option is custom pistons on D16Z6 (137mm) rods. The B7 rods are 134mm.
In all honesty, the cost involved is not worth the end result.
I'm looking to play a little that way and well, I'm just being dumb and dumping 1500 into a b7 minime setup for the learning experience. That 1500 is better spent on saving another 1500 and then doing a 3000 B series job of some sort. Foget about the B16 head though, that typically is 3000 alone as everyone wants one for the LS-vtec or whatever it is.

Yea I'm starting to see that but I'm trying to find out now if there's a "franken" rotatating assembly. Looking like a jdm d15b crank with ls rods and viatra pistons would work. ATM I'm trying to double check all options

Re: D15b7 internals
^agreed. But yea sofar its looking like finding a set of ls rods vitara pistons and a jdm d15b crank would be my best bet. Every now and then tho I'm seeing sets of custom made d15b7 rods so I could just wait for thoes also

Re: D15b7 internals
The z6 is my preferred option not sure why but I have a love for them. Wanted to see if I could do something with the d15 since this is a flip/project car but oh well. Looks like turbo z6 is the way I'm goin

Re: D15b7 internals
Also I've been corrected, there is some decent forged internals on ebay, just have to replace all the studs with arps. You look for D15B2 internals and you can find forged 134.5mm rods.
