Default D15B7 Hesitant/Delayed Acceleration

Hey guys

About 3 weeks ago my car began to hesitate when you press the gas pedal.

2 weeks ago, my timing belt broke off. Took the head off, had a shop vaccum test it - everything was good and no bent valves. Replaced the Head Gasket, timing belt, and my alt belt, power steering belt, ac belt.

After replacing all the belts and head gasket it is still hesitant to accelerate when you press the gas and most of the time if you press the gas harder, there is this firecracker/sulfur smell.

Did a mini-tune up and replaced my Dist. cap and rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs and fuel filter, and still no luck.

I'm getting two CELs. Code 15 and Code 17, Ignition Output signal and Vehicle Speed Sensor. I've had the code 17 for some time now... my speedometer isn't working but that was long before my hesistant acceleration.

Most of the people on ht asking about a code 15, their cars don't start, whereas mine does and doesn't backfire.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

**EDIT: Hopefully tomorrow morning I will get a compression test done.

haha i bet that was fun.

I've tightened it some and the cable is responsive to the pedal, the spring on end of the cable was pretty gunked up, it's nice a clean now.

This was already done earlier and it didn't help
