D15b7 to a B18 is it worth it?
A guy I know has a b18 with tranny and ECU for sale. I have the stock D15,but is it gonna cost me a ton to make the swap? Im not a mechanic by any means but if all his stuff will fit and all I have to do is take my stuff out, that does not seem to be to bad. But all the information on this would be greatly appreciated if you guys dont mind.

A B18 what? If you aren't doing the swap and have to pay someone and also seem not to know what goes into making one work then it will probably cost you more than you might be willing to pay.

So what do you define as worth it? The boost in performance? The cost? The time/effort? The satisfaction of doing it yourself?
My advice is to check the FAQs and look through all the swap links and Google search everything you can get on the subject. Don't let total strangers on a forum tell you what THEY think is worth it.

Here's a link to a swap guide. It's not the "official" guide so find as many like this as you can.
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/b18cswap/swap.php
If you're really going to do one PLEASE find a guide that is complete from start to finish and follow it. TOO MANY PEOPLE on this forum post with problems because they don't follow one and do not even know what parts they need (mainly ECU) or what wiring needs to be done. Their swaps usually run like pure crap afterward and they wind up posting here.

Thank you for all your help. Well my motor is magically making coolant disapear and no mechanic can seem to find the leak and my friend has this b18 package for 200 dollars. I could care less about the boost in performance, but the time I do have and Im sure I can find some effort laying around the house that and gas at $4 plus. All I want to do is put another motor in the place of the one that is running on its last leg. And since this b18 comes with all the major components, I was just wondering if this would be a plug and play set up.

Unless you're swapping like for like it will NOT be a plug and play setup. Check the link I gave you to see what is involved.
As for the swap, find out if it is complete. As in engine and everything attached to it, transmission, linkages, axles, ECU, etc. And why is it so cheap? If it's still in the car check to see how it runs. Do a compression test on it. You may be swapping in one set of problems for another.

If it's a complete B18B swap from a '94 - '01 Integra then yes it's a drop in swap as long as it is in fact complete (IE shift linkage, mounts etc) if it's a '96 - '01 you'll want the engine harness and a '92 - '95 Integra ECU.
For $200 though either your buddy really likes you, he doesn't know what the swap is worth, it's hot or there's something wrong with it.

No it was my friends sons car that was rear ended. The motor runs great or at least it did befor the drunk hit him. No compression test needed. And yes its everthing included ecu, axles, tranny and the motor. I have had my motor looked at by a few mechanics and they have no clue on what wrong. I have to put coolant in it every time I put gas in it. The mechanics have done every test known to man and still cant find the leak. No its not the head gasket, thermostat, waterpump, radiator, heatercore, lines or hoses because I have replaced all the above. It doesnt smoke at all.

Get it. Or take it and sell it for more.
Honestly I've kicked myself ever since I got a GSR motor. I should have just done H2B. Cheaper even when you figure in the adapter, and more power.
