D15B6 Major Mis-fire Problems
OK so i picked up a Horrible Running 94 Sedan. It had a Crazy loud rod knock, and had no power. When you gave it gas, the thing would not rev up at all. it literly to 3 secont per 1000 RPM to rev up.
There is no tac on the car, but dont think it would even go about 3-3500 rpm.
So i switched in the slow as eco-motor D15B6, just to get me by.
Not i have no Rod knock (obviously) but i have a crazy misfire, it wont idle, and it still has the same reving up problem.
I only swapped in a Long Block, not a turn key Motor. so i reused everything but the head and block.
to me it seamed like the exhaust was clogged up, so i took the CAT off and it didnt fix it.
So i switch the dizzy/wires. Still didnt fix it.
Double and tripple checked that the timing belt is correct, and it all lines up correct every time.
Then i put in another ECU that i had, still no change.
Im going to throw on a new fuel filter, cuz you can never change those enough, and clean each injector.
Im not sure where to go for here.
PLEASE HELP HONDA GODS!!

Re: D15B6 Major Mis-fire Problems
D15B6 would be nearly identical (mechanically speaking) to a D15B8. Key things here are that the B8 runs at 12 degrees ignition timing not 16, has it's own specific ECU, and runs lower rate fuel injectors. If you reuse all the original components for the B7 (which is what I'm assuming WAS in your car prior to the swap) this may account for some of your issues.

Re: D15B6 Major Mis-fire Problems
I pulle a B7 out of the Car, not a b8... IDK if that makes a differience but...
and i am re using all of the stock B7 componunts
nothing aftermarket,
Could it be the dizzy? do i need a b6 dizzy?

Re: D15B6 Major Mis-fire Problems
Let me rephrase that then:
B6 = 88-91 HF 8valve
B8 = 92-95 CX 8valve
B6 = B8
B8 = 12 BTDC ignition timing, PO5 ECU, 190cc injectors
B7 = 16 BTDC ignition timing, PO6 ECU, 240cc injectors (or 235cc, I forget but you get the point)
B7 Does not = B8
You have a B6 with some B7 parts, might need certain B8 parts to make it run correctly as a B8 equivalent.
I can't say that the differences are the exact cause(s) of your issue(s) but they may be contributing to them.
