I think they are meant to be like that. My freinds CRX HF does that too. And does that engine even have vtec?

14mins. Come on be patient.

What type of a chip did you get? Also are you throwing any codes? Your cars probably going **** rich/lean and bogging. You need a tune.

It means you need to take it to someone who can tune it for you...AKA a shop with a dyno or sumthin' i'd assume

Ok, here's why you're not feeling "VTEC"

You've got VTEC-E. How this works is until your "VTEC" kicks in, you're running in 12-valve mode, air swirl, lean burn. When your VTEC kicks in, your motor starts running like a normal stock non-vtec civic motor.

My resources are that I know what the hell I'm talking about.

Here's a little light bedtime reading.

Was that "VTEC-E" valve cover the one that came with the motor when you bought it? If so you got the non performance D15B, you actually got the econ version. What ecu were you using for the motor before? Im still thinking a simple street tune will fix your problem.

do you have full throttle shift enabled in your ecu?

people try to use this with crome and it's buggy and doesn't work.
