i have a 93 del sol with a jdm d15b, just swapped it in and it wont start. its trying to start but nothing there is one sensor on the back of the usdm intake manifold that is not on the jdm manifold?? its black, has a vaccum line and a sensor plug for it, could that be the problem?? b/c its not hooked up?? please help me thanks in advance for any help.

thats pretty much the only thing i can see that could be wrong. if i had ideas i wouldnt be here asking for help ***-hat

could someone enlighten me to what the firing order is?? i think its clockwise 1,3,4,2?? maybe idk. my swap didnt come with wires so im kinda in the dark!!

The sensor on the back of the manifold doesn't need to be plugged in and it doesn't have anything to do with your engine not starting.

The rest of your info could be found by doing a simple search. Then you wouldn't be having to call people ***-hat for trying to help you out.

tried searching for firing order and nothing came up tried searching for simple d15b no starting problems and nothing so sorry but searching cant fix everything.


hows he trying to help me out?? he offered not one ounce of helpful advice all he said was "thats pretty vague. any other ideas??" that helps no one. this is honda TECH correct?? as in tech for technical assistance??

Try a little harder, 154 times someone asked that question. Type the word "start" and came up with over 900 different threads.

The reason we say search is because your post was vauge. Won't start. Well, there could be thousands of things that it could be and you doing a little research and finding out what other people have done will help you fix it on your own.

A little hint, 90% of no start threads are either firing order or a ground not hooked up.

lol why would i search for the word start??? that would get me nothing i would need. i refuse to search through a hundred and something posts just to find a firing order!! thats insane.

Looking at the top of your motor.

1-3-4-2

Again, I typed in D16z6 firing order and got this info. Took 10 seconds. Quit being lazy.

If you have the usdm intake manifold...see if you can install that on the jmd D15B...then try to start it...or check the main ignitionfuse in the box and replace it if needed........oh and do you have the right ECU for the d15b...it is vtec isn't it...just check those out......that's all i have unless anybody else has more to add.

so but anyways i put my firing order as (see ex. A) and still nothing... except a big ****** flame out of my exhuast manifold!!!!! so i dont know what the hell happened anyone else have any ideas??

oh well i didnt know that lol thanks man sorry for bein an *** if thats what it seems like i am, im just pissed off. i was supposed to have this thing runnin about 2 weeks ago and cannot get the thing to fire for nothin.

closest plug to firewall is 1, then going clockwise is 3,4,2?? i tried that today and got one big ****** flame lol. the haynes book said the valve cover spark plugs were numbered from left to right (standing in front of the vehicle) 4 3 2 1

so i dont know im out of ideas

Here you go. The numbers of the firing order are not correct but they line up. Just do what this says and it will fire.
