Default D15B OBD2 Motor into a OBD1 Civic

I currently have a automatic p28 a52 ecu in my 95 civic hatch. I just bought a jdm d15b obd2 engine. Will that ecu work with the swap? Do I need to buy any kind of harness?

yes, it will work, all odb2 motors are plug and play (as long as it is not an EK si, because it has a one piece harness with no shock tower plugs) the ecu will work properly. you will not need to swap the harness. the computer will simply ignore the extra sensors because they are not plugged up. just be sure to note where your vacuum lines are.

dizzy isnt going to line up well if u use your obd1 you may have to ream it out. only one bolt will line up at the top. its sufficent thats how mines is with my obd1 swap in obd2 car. you may have to use some of your obd1 stuff like intake manifold because the iat is a different plug on obd2. also making sure u have a 2 wire iacv. your going to have to use the obd2 oil pump because u wont have a dipstick if u put a a6 or z6 one on there. every other plug should plug n play. goodluck... its not all gonna be plug n play but most of it is.

EVERYTHING IS PLUG AND PLAY. no need in using your old dizzy, harness, ect. you will have to plug your iatv (just like a b16/gsr/ls swap) into the one on the TB/intake (not the one on the firewall).

Your auto odb1 ecu will operate just the same. it may throw a cel code. but it will operate the same.

the only proble you will have IF you have a VTEC motor (no i do not know if the d15b motor is or are all vtec) you will either need to wire for vtec OR acquire an odb1 vtec harness. (vtec harnesses came in ALL 92 models and all si harnesses)
