Default d15b manual mount question

Got an eg8 D15B.

So i did a swap. Put in the gearbox. The guy who did the swap said he used the same back mount that was there on the transmission. It's up with two bolts.

My question : is the automatic rear mount and the manual rear the same???

I do not have a top mount right now and I am looking for one. Will there be problems lining up the top mount if the automatic backmount is not the same??

I was also told that there is a metal plate that bolts onto the gearbox, and the top mount bolts on that plate. Is this true? because looking at where the top mount is supposed to go, it looks like everything has to shift back and be raised before the mount will bolt on.

Thanks in advance.!

pretty sure the mounts are different, no 100% sure but i've heard of people having this problem. So are you looking just for the tranny mount that attaches to the chassis or the mount that goes to the subframe by firewall?

I'm looking for the top mount right now, but I'm not sure if it will line up because im using the automatic rear mount.

If the automatic rear mount won't work.. I will have to get a manual rear mount.

God. So I need to change the rear mount before I can get the top mount to fit?

What about this "metal plate" the top mount bolts on to for the single cam?

The automatic T-bracket is the same. The rear mount fits the same, but the automatic version is weaker than the manual version. As far as the top mount goes you have 2 choices: You can buy an aftermarket auto to manual swap mount, or you can cut the metal bracket off the frame rail and weld on the manual version and use an OEM manual top mount.

Can i weld off the automatic bracket and just weld it on where it is supposed to be? and then put the mount?

don't weld the brackets, just do the necessary modifications and the correct mounts.

No, the automatic bracket is totally different, it's angled up at about a 45° angle, the manual version sits flat. The manual bracket also sits ahead or back (i can't remember which, but it will be obvious when you go to install it) 1/2 an inch compared to the automatic version.

Local forums and junkyard are out. So my only option seems to be ordering them in.

I would make a post in the WTB section but i don't see to meet the requirements to post there as yet.

The upper/top bracket (the one welded to the passenger's side frame rail) needs to be changed along with the rubber mount that bolts to it, or you can buy an aftermarket mount that replaces the rubber mount and allows you to retain the bracket that's welded to the frame. You can buy the bracket new from honda or buy a used one at a junkyard, simply drill the spot welds out to remove them.

Got it! I just can't seem to find that bracket.

Can you point me in the right direction?

The auto to manual conversion mount is the easiest solution. It's like 130 from hasport. I have a cheaper version and it works.

I trust my welds, but I didn't want to mess with cutting and drilling the old mount out. If you're going to replace it, its like $30 for the manual mount, and almost 100 if not more for the transmission mount. It's really not that much more if you think about it.

The rear rubber mounts look the same to me between auto and manual. I didn't think they were different...

What do you mean by the auto to manual conversion mount?

You say the mount is 30$. What about the bracket?
