D15B with Auto trans - stuck in park!!
Just swapped this engine into my EG, got it running last night finally...
It is an AUTO trans and I cannot push in the shift button to take it out of park...
it is like locked in there...
I bought a P08 AUTO ecu, so it is the correct one...
any suggestions as to what is causing this???
thanks!

Had a similar problem in my beater camry. I dont know if your car requires you to be on the brakes to put it in gear but a lot of autos do.
If so it could just be that the mechanism that releases the shifter is broken or wasnt attached right.
There is normally a manual override on it, on the toyota it was right near the shifter and covered with a little platic cover. Just pop it off and push the lock down. and i was in gear till i got it fixed, sorry i dotn remember all of it i jus ttook it to my mechanic and let them do it.
Good luck

I pushed in the brakes to the floor - I wonder if it is a sensor that is bad or a fuse somewhere?

I would consider getting that tranny if I had a 2-door or a hatch, but I have a 4-door LX right now...
Do I have to change out the sensor? - I have an AUTO ecu and an AUTO trans...
maybe the park brake lock is just bad?
The brake lights work and everything...

Not quite sure about Hondas, but with Toyota's, it isn't a sensor. Its actually a mechanism that allows you to move the shifter once you press in the brake.
Hondas might do it electrical, I have a 5spd so I don't know.

When my friend did my ZC swap, he had to wire something to the key cylinder, and he also had to mess with the shift linkage on the trans. He kept telling me what gear to put it in and he adjusted whatever. Email me and I'll give you his email.
