Default D15B????

Hey i was wondering if anyone knows what a D15B is in US!! I mean is it a VX model or what !!!!? Also does the Thermostat on a VX open at diffirent temp then a EX LX ETC!! Thanx for any input guys

Ok but see this is my problem somehow my engine swap is heating up fast i mean FAST as in two blocks driving! And somehow the thermostat has not opened when i check it!!! What could be wrong? Ive changed thermo 2 times now and still not working any other ideas

car is heating up fast? you say you swapped this motor in? does it have a vtec silinoid(dont know if that is how you spell it or not). umm have you double checked all your fluids, oil, radiator,tranny? any codes, from the ecu?

Also my dad ran it for about 10 min. with no thermo and no problem i mean WTF Do you know if there is any diffirence in thermo opening temps for a D15B or whatever you said it was!!! Ah and yes it has vtec solenoid but is not hooked up yet since i havent change the ecu!!!

x100000, bleed your coolant for along time with the heat on max

well with it haveing a vtec solenoid then it is prob a d15b(jdm) or a d16z6. oh and if it is the coolent thingy, with air bubbles than that is no big deal and just turn your heat all the way up, or have your car idle with the coolent cap off and heat all the way up.

Did you test your thermostat in a pot of water on the stove to see when it opens?
