Depends on which D16 you have and which D15 tranny it is. Check out this chart for a comparison.
If we're strictly talking about USDM gear, then unless you have a D16Y7 and you're putting in a D15B7 transmission, the car will be slower due to longer gears.

Yea definitely gonna be slower from the waaay longer gears. I had a buddy who had to do this because of a blown trans. We would be on the highway doing 70+mph and he could drop it into 2nd!
