d15 timing belt snapped.
I was on the freeway today and my timing belt snapped. Is it a guarantee that Im looking at an engine replacement, or is it possible that I "lucked" out and left with only a snapped belt and a re-time?
Also how can I check to see if all the valves are in good shape w/o removing the head? I would like to get the car back running by Monday.

Re: d15 timing belt snapped.
Install a new timing belt with the cam and crank synchronized at TDC1. Then compression test the cylinders.

Just got in from replacing the belt and water pump since that needed to be done. SEEMS as if I dodged a bullet, but only time and the compression test will tell. Thanks again guys
