Default D15/D16 oil pans, interchangable?

Im just wondering if the d15b7 (92-95 dx engine) and the d16a6 (91 crx si engine) oil pans are interchangable? Im wondering becuase i had teh d15b7 in my car and had the oil pan tapped for the oil return, im now putting a built d16a6 in it and wondering if i can just put the d15b7 oil pan on it so i dont have to retap the pan. TIA

I would assume because don't they have the same blocks and most of the parts are the same except heads between some motors, and the internals.

ya, i dont see why they wouldnt be the same, i think the bolt pattern and what not is teh same and that the d15pan will physically fit on the d16, just not sure if theres ay difference on teh passage inside the pan itself, or if the slopes are any different.

Oil pan gasket part numbers are the same, but the oil pan itself has a different part number.

D15/D16 pans should work together fine. Blocks are the same...

But now going from a 92-95 oil pan to a 96+ pan will cause problems because of the dipstick location on the different years
