Default D15/D16 distributor internals into a D16Z6 dizzy housing?

I believe my dizzy may be dying (or the ecu), and I was wondering if I could buy a newer y7 or y8 dizzy and use the oddball z6 housing. I know I'd have to repin it for obd1, but I can't find any info on doing this procedure. So far I've seen that you can use the y7/y8's for obd1, but it won't mount right. Thanks for any info.

I believe you can, I remember reading a post where someone asked this and someone said that they could. Although, I'm not 100% sure.

Bump because I'd like to get a fore sure answer on this as well.
