I just got a 94 Civic DX coupe. its got a D15 series non-vtec. I was wondering if anyone has swapped a B16 into this car or a car with a D15. I was wondering if its even possible without modification. I've also seen people swap heads in D series engines from non-vtec to vtec, would anyone recommend this instead of going up to a B series? If you know about this write back with the engine you swapped in and let me know if you ran into any troubles please.

first off there is a FAQ at the top that says "what swaps are available for my civic"

to answer your question, yes a b16 will work.

i would definately do a b16 over a mini me swap.

but if your hard pressed for money and just want a little extra power a z6 head on that d15 would serve you right.
