D series tanny
does anyone know the tranny code for D series 5 spd tranny, specifically the 6th gen vtec motor, and non-vtec motor. Are there any differences between the two?

Re: D series tanny (SixPAK)
if your asking if there is a difference between the tranny's, then the answer is yes. the gears in an ex tranny are shorter.
dont know the tranny codes though... sorry

Re: D series tanny (brian (dxR-hatch))
Actually the Tranny codes are simliar for the dx and ex trannys.. go figure..
the only real way to tell is by reading the VIN number.. kinda sucks since someone can just trade that BS VIN number.. but I beleive the dx equiped civics 96-up were ej6 and the EX were ej8 I believe I'll verify that later on today..I beleive thought the tranny codes are S20 or so ..
