Default D series shifter on B series linkage

my friend is going to trade his D16 for a B20 and we were wondering if his shifter will work on the b-series linkage. because the guy who has the b20 has a short shifter which he doesnt like so he wants to use his OEM shifter from his d-series. Will this work? does anyone know?

Yes. I have a D series B&M short shifter on a B16 linkage right now, and it works perfectly.

yeah, itll work for sure. Many if not all shifters for civic 92-00 are compatable with each each other regardless of shiftlinkage and will fit 94-01 inetgras too

D-series will work except the GSR shifter and shift linkage is is a little bigger so if you use a dseries one on a gsr linkage you will kind of have to bend the linkage in a lil bit.

lol wow that sucks. Because the linkage he would be getting is a GSR linkage because its on a GSR tranny.

OR you could always throw in some washers/spacers if you didn't want to bend it in.
