Default D series oil filters

are all d series oil filters the same, more specifically are z6 and y7 oil filters the same?

yes, and the b-series are the same as d-series. you could look this up at your local part store too.

yes they are..

for the d17 honda changed the oil filter and discontinued the old filter..
they put the new oil filter(skinny) on all the cars now..

fram still list 2 different oil filters for honda ph3593a for i think pre 2001 honda and ph7317 for post 2001 honda.. the ph7317 is the same dimensions and hondas new filter. the ph7317 will work on any honda that uses ph3593a..

the new honda filter gives you better clearance it you are taping the oil pressure senor for oil feed to a turbo system..

The oil filters from the honda s2000 are the best [OEM] filters to get out there, that is, if you care about that sort of thing.

Purolater or STP is all I use.

300,000 miles on SOHC D's with oil related issues.

h/f/b/d use the same filter...my friend spent a good hour trying to find a del sol vtec filter for his b16 because hes stupid and didnt believe that they were all the same, so i went through the entire book at advanced because i dont have a life
