D-series motor Half Shaft?
I threw away my D-series when I swapped my B-series. I know the B-series have a half shaft and both axles are the same length. The D-series axles has one longer than the other, does this mean it doesn't require a half shaft since the D-series axle has one long axle that reaches to the driver side wheel? TIA.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the DOHC ZC had a halfshaft. As far as I know all other D-series engines don't.

on my sohc,
i have 2 axles, one long and one short,
they both connect directly to the transmission, and the back of the brakes.. (hub i guess..)

Re: D-series motor Half Shaft? (Tad)
So the sohc motors don't have half shafts but a long axle that reaches to the tranny to the driverside hub. I bought a D16z6 today and asked the guy why it doesn't come with a half shaft. He said "don't worry, I'll ship it to you, it's at my friends garage". Haha, let's see what happens...

hahaha, thats funny.
but yeah, if you've got the short axle and long axle(and they'r both dseries axles!)
then ur good, lets c wut he sends u.
but if not, try and get the proper axles off him.

I'm pretty sure I got the correct axles. This makes me wonder though - can you use the long D-series axle in a B-series without the B-series half shaft? Just a thought.
