Default d series identification

my friend bought a new EJ8 today (champagne w/red gt3s), he thought it was an ex model, but he said he wasnt sure if it had a vtec engine. engine code is d16y7 so is this an hx model?

Dx or hx, I think hx has some power options and the dx model has no power options

yes the hx also came with an optional quazie turbine jet engine. y7 is non v tec so i assume its dx or lx like said above

its a dx .. .. hx has d16y5 in it ..
