actually i didnt just buy it..... i had the car when i started getting into the racing scene so i had the car for like almost a year and didnt know ****..... so i bought the cheapest honda i could find and put a intake on it..... i was mostly goin for looks and im almost done just a lil more touches and a paint then im done..... so now i want speed.... and i looked at the type of engine i got and thats what i found..... is there anyway to fix it up to make it quick (like 13s) or am i gonna need to swipe it..... i was thinking taking out the A/C and put turbo and fmic but i dont want to hit the bottle..... any ideas?

Swipe = Swap ?
umm...take out the AC and the PS...slap in a CUSTOM turbo..cuz no one makes turbos for ur engine...or just get the swap...no way on THAT engine (without spending like 4k in parts and another 4k on the turbo setup) will u hit 13's

with simple bolt ons, Mista Bone put down 108 WHP! Now that's impressive if you ask me. There are a few CHEAP mods that will get you in high 13's. First off, what kind of car? Is it a gutted DX hatch or what? Get a D16A6 cam, D16Y8 intake manifold, DC header, custom 2 1/4 inch mandrel exhaust with your choice of muffler, 85 shot of N2O and you could put down decent times with slicks...you'll be spankin all most people on this board with swaps also. Just don't spray all day long, only at the track

Re: D series help (Emerica)
its a DX coupe..... my goal was for a 13 with full interier and system and have it a daily drive.... but it looks like that wont happen..... so i guess i should try for like 15 or something, thats more realistic times for my engine right? i think i might get a swap now tho..... anyone knows a cheap place to get ZC engines?

Its not an 8 valve 70 hp motor.
Its a 16 valve 102 hp motor, I know because I have one and there are tons of things you can do to them with factory honda parts to make them more powerful.
I bolted a 91 si camshaft into mine along with an intake manifold from a d16z6 vtec motor and also I installed a6 pistons and lots of other junk. My d15b7 actually pulled harder than my d16z6 sohc vtec that I have in my car right now.
I swapped motors because my old b7 was burning oil like a **** and the z6 has much much more aftermarket support.
You do have a good engine to start tinkering with. I used to beat on 99-00 SI's all day long with my old d15b7.
Do a search on d-series motors here and you will find more than you could imagine. Spade is the author of the d-series upgrade post. He knows alot about them.
