Default D-series head?

ive been doing some research about d series engines and i just realized my 94 civic lx isnt actually a 94 civic lx. thats just what the body is. 2 years ago it blew up so i brought it in and had a new motor put in it. i assumed they would replace it with that exact engine. i guess i was wrong. i have the head off of it for the first time since then and i noticed the head says PM9-4, and the intake says P10 IPT-1. its hard to tell if there ones or i's or even l's. im assuming the head matches the block. i mean i only payed like 900 for it so i doubt it was made to be powerful. everything ive found says that it could be a D16a6 SI head, or a DX head and that its the cam/valves that makes them different. how do i know what cam/valves i have in there so i know if i have a DX or an SI? and in the SI or DX what pistons would be in there or are they the same pistons in both?
