Default d-series gurus please help!!!!

I did a bad bad thing today after work. I was coming home on the highway and a car in front of me was going like 40 mph. I downshifted into second and punched it. I ran it hard all the way up to redline at 6750 and shifted into third, My motor then sounded sick, The tone of the motor was completely different, It revs slower than it did before and its blowing much more smoke out the exhaust than before. I think that I holed a piston or broke some rings or something. Anyways I have a 92 dx hatch w/d15b7 and I have been on a neverending search for a new d- series motor. I would like to find another low milage b7 but I am having no luck. I am however able to find many d16y7's. Will the y7 bolt right into my dx? Can I just use my dx intake manifold on the y7 so I wont have to change everything over to obd2? Does the y7 engine make any more power than the b7? Also I just put a brand spanking new 91' SI cam in my B7 and I was wondering if I could swap it in the Y7. Somebody please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also would I need to use the y7 distributor. Will it work with my b7 obd1 harness? or could I just use my b7 distributor(a brand new honda one too)?
If not how would I go about making my harness adapt to obd2?

skipped a tooth or popped the HG.

BTW CRX cam is a NON VTEC style and will not work in any 96-00 cam.

When did you last change your water pump?

hey guys I think that I was just imagining **** about my engine being fuged up. I just took it for a drive and it's fine. Maybe I just thought that my car was messed up because an hour earlier I drove a 99 prelude SH and my beater is slow compared to that. As for the engine thing, would a y7 work in my car!!!!

a y7 will work but y not go with a sohc vtec conversion instead they shouldn't cost much more than the y7.
