Default D-series Gurus help(VID)

So heres a problem ive had ever since i put in the engine last november/december.http://media.putfile.com/d15bprob *turn it up* its that put put sound.Ive bought everything that i could think of to fix it but its still the way it is.The setup is a jdm d15b with a p28 si tranny,aem short ram,and rsr ex mag.The motor runs great and has good performance but i would like that problem to go away.I can only hear it at idle.Compression is good and leakdown is good

New oem fuel filter(2months ago)
New oem pcv(2months ago)
New oem cap and rotor(2months ago)
New oem plug wires(2months ago)

i have the exact same problem, as far as i'm concerned it isnt anything bad, other than an annoyance

its like the car is just hiccuping? thats how mine is, just barely audible with an exhaust but you canr eally hear it open downpipe lol. I tried all sorts of ****, screwed with timing quite a but and nothing changed... i dont know what else it could be, also toyed with a/f ratios, and making it more rich helped but didnt get rid of it, and i have a hard time thinking its pining or something at idle lol

yah like its hiccuping sounds wierd and it drives me nuts but the car runs good so i guess its fine

It sounds a lot like it dropped off the cam, and then back on. The gearing in these D series trannies sucks *** and it DOES fall off the cam between shifts using a stock ECU. Just the way things are.

what are you talking about? it happens only at idle and i got a valve adjustment 2 months ago.Ive had the problem ever since i put the engine in which was november/december 2004

I watched the "vid" you referenced and it showed the car accelerating... in between shifts was the only time I saw anything strange.

Edit: I watched the second one, not the first one. Sorry.

I didn't watch the video cause my sound doesn't work, but is it a sort of miss at idle?

Im going to see my mechanic 2morrow and i would like you guys to throw some ideas at me so maybe we can finally put this to rest.Any help is appreciated and one more thing my crank pulley was all fucked when i got the motor so my mechanic put on the cx crank pulley.So what should ignition timing be set to and cam timing.
