Default D-Series to D-Series

Tried searching but didn't find anything..

I have a 93 VX.. VTEC-E engine. Is switching over to a D15B or D16Z6 a straight forward hoist engine out, drop new engine in? Will I need other parts, besides a different tranny..

Thanks for any help guys.. appreciate it mucho!

Buy a new cam, and get some new engine managment. If you dont want to do that, Ill buy your motor.

For an engine swap, is a direct replacement. Everything goes in the same place. You might want to look into new motor mounts though, because the old ones will likey be worn.

And if you dont have a Si or EX transmission, get one. You will need it.

So I would only need the engine/transmission and nothing else? That's what I was getting at.. sorry if it wasn't clear.

The engine will drop right in and bolt up without problems. You want the EX/Si tranny for a Dseries (not the B16 tranny), they're the best Dseries trannies.

Or he could use the Y8 transmission which has steel shift forks.

i know i should just make my own post but it seems like people know what they are talking about in this one

i have a 92 vx and i'm swapping in a 95' cx motor.. i have the cx ecu and engine harness and will be re-using my vx trans with the cx motor
should everything be straight forward or will there be re-wiring needed like what i read above with the o2 pin. or was that only cuase it was using a dif ecu?

any light on the situation would be greatly apreciated
