D-series to B-series in your EG, throttle cable...
Just got done with a swap and of course, the throttle cable doesn't reach.
How did you go about extending your throttle cable bracket or rigging whatever setup to work with your new motor? Posting pictures would be a huge help!!!
Thanks in advance.

Bump, no one that has done this swap has a picture of their engine bay?
The stock throttle cable is simply removed from the stock bracket and run along the firewall, and to the throttle body.
If you look along the top of the firewall, you'll see it... Right above the fuel filter.

Most do.
Every car I've done has used the stock one.
The only difference I can see from the stock and the GSR/SiR cable is the mount is different. It's on the driver side shock tower for the D-series, and over by the passenger side on the others.
Cable lenghts are a little different, too.
But, you can use the stock one. If you don't like it being loose, just zip-tie it to the fuel filter bracket or something.

Re: D-series to B-series in your EG, throttle cable... (Revolveu2)
depends on what type b-series engine you have. when i had my gsr swap in my eg stock throttle cable worked. just like the picture above. now when i took the gsr out and put a b16 in the cable was short or better yet the mount for the throttle cable made it short. so i rigged the throttle bracket from my old cx motor and the bracket from the b16. to extend the length. i'll try to get pics of my rigged bracket.

Most people manage to rig their stock SOHC throttle cable. I use ITR /b16a throttle cable.
