D series...ARP head stud washers?????
Ok myself and Hella_JDM were changing out the headgasket and installing the ARP head studs on a Y8 block and noticed there is a 2/3 of an inch gap...we searched and saw a few post of the same problems.....how many others have had this happen?
Also would it be a bad idea to place washers to fill inthe gap?

Did you compare the stud lengths to the stock bolts?
Maybe need to run a tap down into the block?

They didn't JUST come out with the Y8 head studs. I bought my D16Y ARP head studs last March.

Re: D series...ARP head stud washers????? (RyanCivic2000)
while putting head studs on my motor (d16y7 block, d16z6 head) i bought the d16 set first. they were too long i believe. i couldnt return them b/c they were scuffed and what not.... i purchased the d16z set and 2 of them were too short. what kind of washers are you guys gonna use?? if its similar to the arp's i say go for it if u cant get the proper set.
i got a set of d16's for sale on my site...check the part# to be sure.
