D-series Apexi World Sport Review/EG coupe exhaust on EK sedan
The Car: 1997 Civic EX Sedan, d16y8
Old Exhaust Setup: DC 4-1 header, stock cat, 2.25" crush bent piping w/cheap resonator, Tanabe Medallion knock off muffler.
New Exhaust Setup: DC 4-1 header, test pipe, Used Apexi WS catback from EG coupe.
-First off, IMO it's difficult to find a good flowing exhaust that doesn't sound awful for a d-series. My old setup was far too loud and farty for me, so I picked up a WS catback hoping to get a nice low quiet tone. Problem was, the dumbass that put my old exhaust on welded the pipe directly onto the cat instead of welding on a flange. So I was afraid that taking out my cat when I put in the WS would put me right back in the same spot as far as volume... way off. The WS sounds badass even with no cat. Way, way, quieter and a much lower tone. At first there was the slightest bit of rasp under load at lower rpms, but it seems to have dissipated some after driving. Very pleased with the outcome. WS Recommended!
Also: I can vouch by first-hand experience that EG coupe exhaust is absolutely compatible with EK sedan. I just put it on, and it fit perfectly.

My bro has a h22a with a dc sports header and a apex-i ws exhaust and it is not loud at all without the cat. When you really get on the gas it has a deep sound and actually sounds good compared to other exhaust systems. I still wonder why people like loud shi++y exhaust systems.I know, it's so they can get the attention they would never get without a loud annoying exhaust in a slow car.
